Lush Review: ♡Honey, I washed the kids & Porridge soaps!♡

I think my little obsession with Lush is growing and I think I have my best friend now hooked too! haha she made fun of me for loving the mask i bought saying "wow its so expensive for something like that" and  it really wasnt, (but this isnt a mask review) and now she is going and buying her own stuff.

So let the review begin! My best friend and i went to the mall to the lush store and we were surprised when the girls that worked there told us "hello welcome! We're having our once a year sale!"

So, I wasn't planning on buying anything, since I was there purely for my friend. But after hearing soaps with a blue sticker were 50% off I decided to get a 2 soaps I've been dying to have. I wanted more but I didn't have enough money for it and I might go back for more if the sale is still going...(because i have the money now) ANYWAY BACK TO THE REVIEW! Here is what I bought:

Honey, I washed the kids:

So I bought a massive chunk of "Honey, I Washed the Kids" which normally would have cost $25.70 but I got it 50% off so it ended up being $12.35. This soap doesn't really smell like pure honey, because if it did I probably wouldn't have been too interested in it. (I'm not a huge fan of the way honey smells) But, this soap seems to smell lightly of honey and like...hmm not vanilla but I some sort of yummy candy. Its not a super sweet smell either..Its delicious. I love it. It has some sort of wash bottom shaped like a honey comb. I think its to exfoliate.
The soap cleans very well, for some reason I thought it wouldn't, and it lathers really well. I thought it would leave my skin too squeaky clean since it is a soap and soaps are usually very drying. But this soap left me moisturized. I love the scent it leaves on the skin since it isn't strong or irritating. I love this soap and I will re-purchase once I'm done. However this isn't my favorite one out of the two, the next one it!


Porridge:

Wow. That all I have to say about this soap. I absolutely love it! I got a pretty decent chunk of soap that would have been $16.85 but I got it for $8.43. This was to me, the best smelling soap that lush has. I'm not one for super sweet or floral smelling anything. This soap is perfect is you hate scents like that. Its sweet but not overbearing. It smells like oatmeal and molasses cookies. Its amazing! The exfoliators in this are little oat grains. It gently exfoliates your skin to take off dead skin cells. So if you need a nice gentle exfoliator this is the soap you should be looking at. :)
The soap laters so much its ridiculous. Its super cream lather, too. I love it and I love smelling like a cookie after. It cleans really well and its exfoliates so nicely. The oats come off of the soap as you use it so don't freak out. I don't the I can emphasis the fact that I love this soap. Check this on out when you're at the store or ordering online.

Sample Sugar Scrub:

So they gave me a sample of their Sugar Scrub. It looks like half of a bath bomb. They gave me the ginger and fennel scrub. I like it. Its super awesome if you have very dry rough skin in some areas. My elbows aren't exactly super smooth, but now they are :) I was excited about this because it works so well.  But, when i woke up in the morning and looked at my shower most of it was melted and dripping down the wall of my shower. Surprised, I researched it up to see if anyone else had this problem. Apparently, its notorious for doing this sort of thing so its suggested to break off a piece and use it in the shower or mix it with another liquid soap. I didnt know about this and was pretty disappointed by this. But then again it is sugar and water..DUH it melts. I too excited to think, haha. So i think i will pick this product up next time as well but I will definitely keep it better now that I know what to do.

☆ New Years Resolutions ☆

Hello people of that read my blog!

Yay! The year is ending! I dont know if thats a good thing or not for you,  but i think its awesome. The reason I want this year to end is not only begin a brand new year to experience new things and to grow but also to shed the yucky bad stuff from this 2010. I had an alright year and I'm not here to complain and put up negative comments but this year in general was just a huge blur for me.

I began working. I had never really had an official job before but since my school decided to cancel my classes on me last minute, I got a full-time job. I still think it was a good choice because I know I grew up ALOT because of it. I had to pay bills and budget myself and work really hard. I know people work 9-5 jobs everyday and I applaud you. I feel your pain. But because I had this job I missed out on a bunch of things I wanted to do with my friends but then again I grew up because of it. So for about 9-10 months out of the year I really didn't do much but work and go to school (and trust me at times like these I feel very blessed to have been able to work and go to school). I learned a lot from this experience and even though I had bad times, I take nothing negative from the experience.

I now have a new job and even though its seasonal, I'm enjoying myself to the fullest. I love my job now. I love waking up putting on makeup to then go to work to play with more makeup and talk to people about makeup. I'm damn good at my job and i want to continue there. <3

So this year I want it to be the most life changing year for me. I am newly 21 years old  and I want to make this year a year of complete and total change for me. I'm tired of doing the same thing over and over and never advancing in what I want in my life because I want things to be handed to me for some reason. I never even really made a life of things to do for my new year since I was always so negative about everything. NO MORE OF THAT THIS YEAR!

To begin my new list of things I will actually do:

1- Write in my blog a minimum of once a week.
I've been slacking here on this one and I have so much to say.

2- Not get so down on myself.
I'm constantly putting myself down and over thinking everything I do. But no more not this year!

3- Stop letting people take advantage of my overly nice personality.
No one likes to be walked all over.

4- Post a youtube video at least once a week. minimum once every 2 weeks.
I need to get it going.

5- Lose weight.
I know, I know "Dai, why so lame everyone says that". Yeah well I'm tired of looking the same every year and I need to do this to feel better about myself! Plus this is a major thing in my life and I want it to go away!

6- Hang out with new friends I make rather than just get their number and never do anything with it.
I need to stop doing this.

7- No more soda.
I've slowly been getting off of the stuff but I'm hooked. I need to stop thinking of it as "well I dont drink or smoke so I can just have soda ALL THE TIME" Thats my reasoning its stupid, I know.

8- Budget and manage myself better.
I spend way too much way too quickly. But seeing as I'm constantly saving up and spending it on fixing my makeup kit, I don't know how I'm going to help myself. I also need to invest in a planner to get everything I want done in a timely manner.

9- Travel with my friend!
I want to go to Imats and I want to go to anything kpop related in the year XD

10- Keep my room clean.
This might not seem like a big problem to some people. To me this was an impossibility because now its gonna happen. I'm 21 and still cant do this. I already started to through things away. I'm also going to remove my posters....except for my tvxq one...yeah.....I love my AFI ones but I think after 7 years they can go to sleep for a little while.


WOW THIS POST IS WAY LONGER THAN I ANTICIPATED. Well whatever. I'll refer to this list once I'm done doing things this year! I hope i get everything done.

♡ BB Creams ♡ (What is it?)

So before I started my series on BB creams, I thought  could share on here what a BB cream actually is.

BB Cream stands for Blemish Balm Cream. From my research around the web, it is said to have been developed in Germany to help heal the skin of patients who had undergone laser skin surgery.
So because it is so awesome famous actresses from asia began to invest in these products. Naturally, the re of the public began to become interested in these "magical in everyway" products and a market for them was born!

The most basic BB creams have:
1) skin whitening properties - this is usually THE main thing bb creams do. And no by whitening it doesnt mean its going to bleach your skin and make you look like a pair of these:

Nope. What the "whiten"is that it will make your complexion very even and fade any acne marks and scars you may have on your face.

2) Help improve your skin to fight blemishes - well, duh. its in the name. Many BB creams REALLY do help fight blemishes some however may actually break you out. There are so many its all about finding the right one for you and your skin and your needs. Just like with anything else you put on your face. Some focus more on the actual blemish problems but again find one right for you.

3) Help prevent fine lines and wrinkles - many if not all have this property. its the second or first, depending how you look at it , reason for the creation of this little gem in a bottle. It helps repair and rejuvenate the skin for healthy youthful skin.

4) It is a triple threat to foundations, concealers, and tinted moisturizers. I'm not kidding. One application of SOME bb creams are enough to be full cover foundations and concealers in one, but are as light as a tinted moisturizer on your face. Again they make lighter coverage bb creams and all in between.

5) Most if not all have UV protection to protect your skin from the sun.

Yes, yes, yes, i know what you are thinking, "But Dai, seriously these sound like miracle products and its sounds like you're actually trying to sell this product to us. Nothing in the world does all that. Get out of here."
Well guess what. There is. I'm not lying and I'm not trying to sell you things. These products have totally and completely changed the way I look at my foundation and skin care routine. I wouldn't waste my time on my own personal blog to sell people things. For that I'll just go to work. But I will say this, just like your regular foundation and moisturizers and even cleansers its all trial and error with these. Again, everything that may work on me or whoever may not work on you. It's all about your body chemistry and genes. But I can tell you this, when you find the right one for you....OMG thats all.

There are SOOOOOOOO many to choose from. The downside is that here in the US they aren't really available and the color shades aren't the best to choose from. Some bb creams only sell 1 to 4 shade. But mostly just 1 or 2 shades since this is targeted to the asian market.

bb creams make me so happy.

specialTEA Lounge & Harry Potter 7 p1

I know i know OMG NO MORE HARRY POTTER! But just one more Harry Potter post and it will end!  I just have to put my Ravenclaw look up...I think i might change the format in which I film. Anyway on to the new post!

My night started around 8:30pm or so when my best friend came to pick me up. She had told me she had heard of a new tea place in the area. Immediately hearing this I was instantly interested. I love coffee and tea, therefore it was a perfect place for me!

Once inside the lounge, I was loved how cute they had everything decorated. The have couches and little tables and tons of books and magazines. I think they even have Wi-Fi but I'm not too sure.

There is so much variety in the menu its crazy! It was so overwhelming everything sounded so good and I wanted to order everything!

I ordered a Mocha Mudslide I believe is what its called..and I'm hooked thats all I want to say about that. I also ordered a Pumpkin Cheesecake, because once there is pumpkin anything on a menu I have to automatically order it. I think it was the best pumpkin cheesecake I've had in a while. So good!

I think my order was around 7$ which considering the size of both the drink and the cheesecake I think that was more than reasonable. Their medium is about a venti size at starbucks. Plus starbucks doesn't have and will never have the variety that specialTEA has.

My best friend ordered a olive wrap I'm not quite sure the name but I took a bite out of it and it was so amazing. She ate it before I could take a picture of it, haha. But she also ordered a Mint Lemonade. 

When we received it I was so amazed at the presentation. Instead of mint syrup or extract they actually put the sprig of mint in the drink! I thought that was genius! I hate lemonade and mint and together they seem like my enemy but this drink was very refreshing. It tasted like they actually squeezed the lemon..actually I think they did! So good! If you live in the Miami area you should check them out :)

So onward with the night!

We went to see Harry Potter and once we got there the line wrapped around the building. They had already let more half the line in. I have a video of it, but I don't believe my youtube should be flooded with my Harry Potter line footage lol~~~
So we picked up the tickets:

And we waited in line. Mind you we got there around 9pm. We wait in line for about half an hour and they let us in. And we waited and waited and waited...and it was so worth it.

I was so pleased at how well the translated the book onto screen. Awesome is all I have to say about Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows :)
