Review: Crown Brush Sets!

First of all WOOT WOOT NEW HEADER!

ok i'm done now lol

Everyone may know about Sigma Brushes and Coastal Scents Brushes but I think I may have found something a little cheaper and just as amazing!
Normally with brushes I get a little "ehhhh" when its not working the way I want it to. I know for some people they really dont care about brushes and if they do have them they really dont care about the quality. (like some friends i have) As long as the brushes can apply color they really dont care about anything else.
But if you want some good quality brushes and are on a budget. Let me just tell your about these brushes for a second.

I was sooooo pleased when I received my order from Crown. I was watching a kandee johnson video where she had a promo code for these. Now i had heard of crown before and I always wanted to get some because I am both on a budget and needing to build up my kit. So the code was for no shipping and i think 24$ off the purchase. It ended up being $29.99 each set! So I ordered two, since it was near christmas and I wanted to get my best friend one.

This is the box with my Ninja becoming her best friend.

So, I have to review the website. Okay, this was my biggest problem. I don't know if they do this all the time or if it was just because it was christmas but I'll let it slide. I ordered on December 14, 2010 and I received my order January 19, 2011...That being said they went on a vacation from the 24th till the 4th of January. My payment went it and cleared the 15th...Maybe they had too many ordered but I dont know why it took so long. I couldnt email them to ask because they were on vacation. But I'll let that one go since it was the holiday. I was a little annoyed that I couldnt give my friend her present on X-mas but whatever sh*t happens.

The red/pink one(set 620) is my best friend's and the other is mine(set 621).
I absolutely love the cases! They are super classy and cute! they look like clutch bags, haha. I also ordered two brushes.

They dont have names on them so I cant tell you exactly what the names are but yeah stay with me here:

The face brushes are nice at first I didnt like them. To me they felt super cheap and scratchy. I actually skipped these and was really disappointed. But after i washed them and gave them love they are now my absolute favorite. They still arent super duper soft but they are soft now, especially the largest one. They barely shed and they hardly bled any black pigment. Ive been using them lately and am very pleased with them.

The foundation brush is absolutely amazing. It doesn't streak too much and its super duper soft. I'm pretty much pleased with all the brushes except 3.

The mini fan brush - Its very scratchy and makes my highlighting powder look blotchy. I'm only using it now for clearing out fall outs.

The seventh brush in my set - I think its the mini angled buffer - I dont even know why they would put this one in the set. Its the worst. Its feels extremely cheap its scratchy. Ive washed this one to make it softer about 4 times now and its just as scratchy as before. It sheds and ugh just not my favorite.

The oval shader brush which is the either brush in my set (in the  picture) - For me its too flimsy. I have use it to apply wet pigments and it works great but as far as packing on color to the eye it falls a little flat.

The rest of the brushes are great but I dont think anyone would want to read me saying its great 17 times so i'll just save you the aggravation. :)

The two I ordered as extras....I love the angle brush but the fluff brush...I'm just really not impressed. I think its because from the picture on the site i thought it was going to be like the MAC 224 brush but its a monstrosity compared to it! Its HUGE!!!!!!! I can't really use it. I think it would make a great brush for precise contouring and blending but as an eyeshadow brush....ehhh maybe an all over lid wash..IDK but i think i was disappointed with it mostly because I was expecting something completely different.

I really do enjoy these brushes and I defiantly order more from them! They are absolutely amazing in price and great to build up a kit!

I hope that helped! Leave any questions in the comments!

Bye guys! Until my next post!

Photo Shoot with BeniiBoutique.com!

So this saturday was just too exciting! The owner of BeniiBoutique.com asked me to be apart of the her sites photo shoot and I excitedly said yes!

If you dont know about BeniiBoutique, you definitely should! Its an online clothing shop with VERY reasonable prices and EXTREMELY adorable and high fashion styles.

I was amazed when I asked around at how much some of the dresses were! The girls were lovely and very fun to work with! I think we all had fun. I am very thankful for the experience and I hope to work with them in the future.

I'll post up pictures as soon as I get some!

In other news, I filled a tutorial on one of the looks I recently did for the photoshoot that I just absolutely loved. I think it would be great valentines day look! So I filled today and I super fail with technology and all the videos deleted while I was uploading. Soooo, I will film again when I have time after work tomorrow!

I'll update with some swatches hopefully tonight or a brush review i have to see what i have time for!

My videos. -_-

I'm having trouble with my editing software. Its not working and i HATE imovie. iMovie give you very little options when editing and ugh..

I  want to make videos but this is seriously killing my efforts.

Until I find something else or fix the problem I dont know how i will edit. :/ which sucks i have 3 videos done but i cant edit them.

I'll post later with something else besides my mini rant. :(
